Candy Store

Candy Store
Children's Song
I met my boyfriend at the candy store.
He bought me ice cream.
He bought me cakes.
He brought me home with a bellyache.
Momma, Momma,
I'm so sick,
Call the doctor,
Quick, quick, quick!
Doctor, doctor,
Will I die?
Count to five and you'll be alive,
1,2,3,4,5
I'M ALIVE!

When I learned Candy Store, in the Bronx in the early eighties, we started it with "Uno, dos, y tres, say a-east, a-west, I met my boyfriend at a candy store," etc. We also ended it with "6-7-8-9-10, I'm dead again!"
