The Pet Lamb
The Pet Lamb
Poem
In all the green world there is nought so sweet
As my little pet lamb, with his nimble feet-
With eyes so bright,
And wool so white,
Oh, he is my darling, my heart's delight.
When shines the bright sun and the soft wind blows,
We roam in the meadow where green grass grows;
We dance and skip,
We run and leap,
And when we are weary, lie down and sleep.
