"Our Grandmaw told me and my sister that she would teach us to count to ten in Cherokee when we were little and it wasn't until years later when we took a Cherokee language class that we found out that what she taught us had nothing to do with the Cherokee language. Perhaps in her years she was getting forgetful or maybe she thought we would be more receptive to learning how to 'count in Cherokee' rather than learning a Scottish counting rhyme she learned as a child." -Alesia
