Gregory Griggs
Gregory Griggs
Lap Rhyme
Gregory Griggs, Gregory Griggs,
Had twenty-seven different wigs.
He wore them up (1)
He wore them down (2)
To please the people of the town;
He wore them east, (3)
He wore them west (4)
But which one did he love the best?*
This one! (5)
Notes
*Or "And never could tell which he liked best!" The last line, "This one!" was added to the rhyme later on.
