"Monkey in the Middle" is played with three people in a line. The person in the middle is the "monkey in the middle". The two players on the outsides throw a ball back and forth over or around the "monkey" while chanting, "Monkey in the middle!" They have to keep the ball out of the reach of the monkey. When the monkey gets the ball, the last person to have had the ball is the new "monkey in the middle".
