"Gypsy in the Moonlight" is sung in many Caribbean countries, but it originally comes from Trinidad and Tobago.

Game Instructions

(1) A group of children hold hands and go around in a circle while singing this song. One child (the "gypsy") goes around the outside of the circle.

(2) On the 2nd verse ("waltz in gypsy"), the "gypsy" enters the circle and dances inside it.

(3) The "gypsy" then sings the third verse and selects a child from the circle while singing the line, "But the only one is... [kid's name] to come and dance with me".

(4) Both kids dance in the middle of the circle while everyone sings the last verse (tralalala...).

At the very end of the song, the first child joins the circle and the second one becomes the new "gypsy". The game starts all over again.
