Here Comes Sally Walking Down the Alley
"Here Comes Sally" shares some lines with "Here We Go Sodeo".
Here Comes Sally Walking Down the Alley
Folk Song
Here comes Sally, walking down the alley,
Here comes Sally, just like that.
Here comes the other one, just like the other one,
Here comes the other one, just like that.
Well, I looked down the alley and what did I see?
A big, big man from Tennessee.
Well, I betcha five dollars I could whoop that man.
I betcha five dollars I could whoop that man.
Notes
Additional Verse:
To the front to the back, side-side-side!
To the front to the back, side-side-side!
You lean waaay back, you've got a hump on your back!
You lean waaay back, you've got a hump on your back!
You do the camel's walk,
You do the camel's walk
And you end up on the other side.
Game Instructions
You need a group of people to play this game song. Make two rows of people standing across from each other, making an "alley". The two people at the end (one person from each row) walk through the "alley" (with "attitude") to the beat of the song while everyone sings and claps. They rejoin their rows at the other end of the alley. The game continues like this and the dance down the "alley" progressively gets sillier and sillier. In some versions, everyone in the line follows the directions like jumping forward on "to the front", and jumping backwards on "to the back", etc.
