Hiiri juosta hipsutteli
"This is something about a little mouse running up your arm and you tickle your fingers up the arm like a mouse running up. My parents used to say this to me." -Sue
Hiiri juosta hipsutteli
The Mouse Ran Scampering
Tickling Rhyme
Tickling Rhyme
(Finnish)
(English)
Hiiri juosta hipsutteli,
Rantoja pitkin rappuselle,
Missä minun kotipaikka
Teu Teu Teu!
The mouse ran scampering
Along the shores to a stair,
Where's my home?
Tee tee tee tee teeeee!
Notes
"The word 'hipsutteli' doesn't really make any sense translated, it's kind of like running with small steps and really fast. I don't know if scampered is even a word, I got it from Google translate when I put the word kipittää to it, which means it's almost the same as hipsutteli. Also the word 'kotipaikka' is a problem. It means home, but if you translate it straightly it's 'home place'." -Hilja
