Grandma's Advice
"This is a hand clapping game I learned in elementary school near St. Louis, Missouri and when I moved, the girls at my new school near Augusta, GA knew it as well, but there were some minor differences..." -Emily Grace
Grandma's Advice
Hand Clapping Rhyme
My Grandma Suzianna
Down in Louisiana*
Is sitting in her rocker
Eating Betty Crocker
Watching the time go:
Tick! Tock! Ticktock! Banana rock!
Tick! Tock! Ticktock! Banana rock!
She says that boy's no good, rotten,
He sleeps in his dirty cottons.
Let's kick that Snicker-snacker
Cracker-jacker Piggy-backer
Fire-cracker Smoochy snatcher
Cootie catcher to the curb!
A - B - C - D - E - F - G
Wash those boy germs off of me.
Notes
*In Missouri, the girls pronounced it Lou-weez-ee-anna, but in Georgia they said Loo-zee-anna.
