Apocalipsis
Here's a Spanish song about the vowels...
Apocalipsis
Apocalypse
Canción para jugar a las palmas
Hand Clapping Song
(Spanish)
(English)
¡Apocalipsis!
Con la a, a,
Daba daba da.
Yo tengo una muñeca hecha de cristal.
Con la e, e
Debe debe de.
Yo tengo una muñeca hecha de papel.
Con la i, i,
Dibi dibi di.
Yo tengo una muñeca hecha de marfil.
Con la o, o,
Dobo dobo do.
Yo tengo una muñeca hecha de algodón.
Con la u, u,
Dubu dubu du.
¡Yo tengo una muñeca hecha igual que tú!
Apocalypse!
With the a, a,
Daybay daybay day,
I have a doll made of crystal.
With the e, e,
Deebee deebee dee,
I have a doll made of paper.
With the i, i,
Dye-bye dye-bye dye,
I have a doll made of ivory.
With the o, o,
Dobo dobo do,
I have a doll made of cotton.
With the u, u,
Dubu dubu du,
I have a doll made just like you!
Notes
In the Spanish version, the last sound of each line rhymes with the sound of the vowel that the verse is about.

"I'm a children's librarian and I've been using your site for a while to add non-English songs to the mix in storytime. It's a godsend!
I found this this morning (the English translation) and I can't *wait* to start storytime again to use it; I like it much better for vowels than Apples and Bananas."
Thanks!
