Un p'tit bébé
Un p'tit bébé
A Little Baby

Rhyme
(French)
(English)
A little baby goes to the market
To buy:
Golden hair,
A smooth forehead,
Two lively eyes,
A round nose,
Two chubby cheeks,
A beautiful smile,
Two or three chins,
Two nimble hands,
A big tummy
And two little feet to go to the market!
Notes
Monique wrote, "Regarding 'deux pommettes joufflues' : 'la pommette' is literally the 'cheek bone', but I thought it'd sound too technical if I put it as 'two chubby cheek bones!'"
Comments
France wrote, "I am from Quebec, a Victoriaville's native and citizen. This is a rhyme I wrote for my son in June 1993."
