Notes

Nyango wrote: "...most of our songs ended with dancing. This one is sung in what we call Kindergarten and Class 1 and Class 2. That is children between the ages of 4 - 6 years. At the part, 'Yeh, Yeh, e yeh yeh...' each puts his or her hands on his/her waist - more like arms akimbo - and dances, swinging from side to side till the end of the song. When they start it over again, they sing without dancing till they get to 'Yeh, yeh, e yeh...'"

Many thanks to Nyango M. Nambangi of the Minnesota African Women's Association for contributing this song and explaining how the kids do the dance!

Thanks so much!
