Que llueva, que llueva
Que llueva, que llueva
Let It Rain, Let It Rain
Canción infantil
Children's Song
(Spanish)
(English)
Que llueva, que llueva,
La Virgen está en la cueva
Que llueva, que llueva,
La Virgen está en la cueva
Los pajaritos cantan,
Las nubes se levantan
Que sí, que no
Que caiga un chapuzón
Que sí, que no,
Que caiga un chapuzón.
Let it rain, let it rain,
The Virgin is in the cave,
Let it rain, let it rain,
The Virgin is in the cave.
The little birds are singing,
The clouds are rising.
Oh yes, oh no,
Let a downpour fall
Oh yes, oh no,
Let a downpour fall!
Notes
Asked about "chapuzón" that usually means "dip", Rossi wrote, "About 'chapuzón' I guess it's a Peruvian idiom, because for Mexicans the equivalent would be 'chaparrón', for Puerto Ricans 'aguacero'. 'Chapuzón' means: steady rain that leaves water puddles, as far as I know".
Comments
Rossi's grandma used to sing it this way.
