Who comes here?
"A grenadier."
What do you want?
"A pot of beer."
Where is your money?
"I've forgot."
Get you gone,
You can't have a drop.

Dave from India wrote in 2013: "A slightly different version I heard during my childhood, seven decades ago, and I am quoting from memory..."

Who comes here?
A grenadier.
What does he want?
Some ginger beer.
Where is your money?
I have none.
Then grenadier,
Go, get you gone.
