I Have a Little Sister
Riddle
I have a little sister, they call her peep, peep;
She wades the waters deep, deep, deep;
She climbs the mountains high, high, high;
Poor little creature, she has but one eye.
Notes
Here's slightly different wording of this riddle from The Little Mother Goose (1912), illustrated by Jessie Willcox Smith:
I have a little sister; they call her Peep, Peep.
She wades the water deep, deep, deep;
She climbs the mountains, high, high, high-
Poor little thing! she has but one eye.
