Move the baby up, down, backwards, forwards and around and around with the lyrics...

Here We Go Up, Up, Up! - English Children's Songs - England - Mama Lisa's World: Children's Songs and Rhymes from Around the World - Intro Image

Notes

Harry's Ladder to Learning (1850) has a variation of this rhyme:

Here we go up, up, up,
And here we go down, down, downy,
And here we go backwards and forwards,
And here we go round, round, roundy.

Here's a very similar rhyme:

Up To The Ceiling

Up to the ceiling, down to the ground,
Backward and forward, round and round;
Dance, little baby, and mother will sing,
With the merry chorus, ding, ding, ding!

NOTE: Later I noticed that the verse above comes from Dance, Little Baby, Dance Up High. I find the similarity to be interesting so I'm leaving it here for comparison.
