Na świętego Mikołaja
"The Polish Custom is for Saint Nicholas (świętego Mikołaja) to bring children presents on December 6th. Here's a short poem for Saint Nicholas that you might enjoy...." -Ed

St. Nicholas Day Rhyme
(Polish)
(English)
Na świętego Mikołaja,
czeka dzieci cała zgraja,
Da posłusznym ciasteczko,
Złe przekropi różeczką.
On St. Nicholas Day,
The band of children waits;
For the good, a cookie he brings,
But for the naughty, a switch that stings.
Notes
We asked Agnieszka Magnucka if they still celebrate St. Nick's Day in modern day Poland, she wrote: "Yes, it's true. It's not only for children. Also adults can enjoy presents on that day. Usually we do small gifts on St. Nick's day and then bigger at Christmas Eve... Lucky we."
