I Like to Eat Apples and Bananas
In this song you repeat the same verse over and over again, but on each repetition you make the words have a specific vowel sound (i.e. a, e, i, o, u).

"I'm a children's librarian and I've been using your site for a while to add non-English songs to the mix in storytime. It's a godsend!
I found this this morning and I can't *wait* to start storytime again to use it; I like it much better for vowels than Apples and Bananas:
Apocalypse
With an a, a, day-bay-day-bay day,
Let me have a dolly who is made of clay
.... etc made of cheese/made of ice/made of gold/just like you."
The song Barbara is referring to is actually the English translation of a Spanish song from the Dominican Republic called Apocalipsis (Apocalypse).
