עצי זיתים עומדים
(Atzei zeitim omdim)
This is the version of the song "Olive Trees are Standing" that's sung in Hebrew in the US. It seems it was changed due to the pronunciation of the original song which is "Atzei shitim omdim" (about acacia trees). It's also the case that olive trees are more fruitful in Israel than acacia trees.
This song is sung for Tu B'Shvat. "Tu B'Shvat is the Israeli/Jewish Arbor Day, celebrated by tending to and planting trees. It is a day for celebrating our interconnectedness with, and responsibility for, the environment around us." –Joanie Calem
