שניים סינים עם כינור גדול
This is the Hebrew version of the German song "Drei Chinesen mit dem Kontrabass".
You repeat the same verse over and over again, but on each repetition you make all the words have a specific vowel sound (a, e, i, o, u).
שניים סינים עם כינור גדול
Two Chinese People with a Big Violin
Children's Song
Children's Song
(Hebrew)
(English)
שניים סינים עם כינור גדול
ישבו בצד הכביש ופטפטו בקול גדול
בא שוטר, גרש אותם וזה הכל
שנייים סינים עם כינור גדול.
Two Chinese people with a big violin
Sat on the roadside and chatted noisily
A policeman came, made them leave and that is all,
Two Chinese people with a big violin.
Notes
"This song is sang once as it is written and then usually 4 to 5 more times using only one vowel (a e i o u) as a replacement for all the others (so basically it has no meaning... but it is funny to sing and listen to).
For example, the first line, 'Shnayim sinim im kinor gadol' becomes:
'Shnayam sanam am kanar gadal'
or
'Shniyim sinim im kinir gidil'."
Pronunciation
Shnayim sinim im kinor gadol
Yashvu be'tsad ha'kvish hu'fitpetu bekol gadol
Ba shoter geresh ohtam, ve zeh hakol
Shnayim sinim im kinor gadol.
