The Christmas Tree is Built
Christmas Carol
Christmas Carol
(Finnish)
(English)
1. Joulupuu on rakennettu:
joulu on jo ovella;
namusia ripustettu
ompi kuusen oksilla.
2. Kuusen pienet kynttiläiset
valaisevat kauniisti;
ympärillä lapsukaiset
laulelevat sulosti.
3. Kiitos sulle Jeesuksemme
kallis Vapahtajamme,
kun sä tulit vieraaksemme,
paras joululahjamme.
4. Tullessasi toit sä valon,
lahjat runsaat, rikkahat;
autuuden ja anteeksannon
kaikki taivaan tavarat.
5. Anna, Jeesus, henkes hyvän
meidän sydämihimme
viritellä uskon valon!
Siunaa, Jeesus, joulumme!
1. The Christmas tree is built:
Christmas Eve is at the door;
Candy decorates
The branches of the fir tree.
2. Candles that brighten the tree
Beautifully illuminate this room;
Surrounded by children
Sweetly singing their carols.
3. Thank you, Jesus, for being
Our dear savior,
When you visit us this evening,
It's our best Christmas present.
4. When you came to earth, you brought us
Abundant gifts of light;
You taught us mercy and forgiveness,
Wonderful gifts of heaven.
5. Let Jesus, the spirit of good,
Come into our hearts to live,
Emitting the light of faith!
Oh Jesus, bless our Christmas!
