Pláva kačka po jazere
Pláva kačka po jazere
The Duck Girl is Swimming in the Lake
Circle Dance
Circle Dance
(Slovak)
(English)
Pláva kačka po jazere,
vo vode si šaty perie,
rybky sem a rybky tam
ja vás všetky pochytám.
Prišiel káčer, ťapi, ťapi
do zobáčka rybku lapí,
ukláňa sa krásavec,
volá kačku na tanec.
The duck girl is swimming in the lake
She is washing her dress in water,
Fishes over here,
Fishes over there,
I will catch all of you.
There came a duckboy, clap clap,
He catches some fish in his beak too.
He is bowing down,
He is asking her to dance.
Game Instructions
Actions to this song...
First the children go around in a circle pretending they are swimming, then washing clothes in water. Then they stop to stand facing each other in a circle and making big beaks out of their arms opening one upwards, one downwards making a clap with their palms as if they're catching a fish. Then they walk in a circle again. Then they make the same beak actions with a duck boy catching a fish. Then they stop and take a bow and make a kind of "come here" gesture asking another to dance and they dance in pairs.
