Frère Jacques
In the US, we usually sing Frere Jacques in French. I included the English translation because sometimes people alternate the English and French, or sing it in French first and then English. But we mostly sing it in French alone (with our American accents!).

Frère Jacques,
Frère Jacques,
Dormez-vous?
Dormez-vous?
Sonnez les matines.
Sonnez les matines.
Din, din, don.
Din, din, don.
Are you sleeping?
Are you sleeping?
Brother John,
Brother John?
Morning bells are ringing.
Morning bells are ringing.
Ding, dong, ding.
Ding, dong, ding.
Girl Scout Troop 1890 sang Frère Jacques for us below...
Many thanks to Girl Scout Troop 1890 for singing this song for Mama Lisa's World in 2011.
