The tune to Happy Birthday to You originally comes from the song "Good Morning to All" which was written by sisters Mildred and Patty Hill and published in, "Song Stories for the Kindergarten" in 1893. The first reference to the Happy Birthday to You lyrics appeared in a 1901 article in the Inland Educator and Indiana School Journal. The full lyrics can be found in print for the 1st time in a book from 1912 called, "The Beginners' Book of Songs".
