This Pig Went to The Barn
This is a toe counting game like This Little Piggy…
This Pig Went to The Barn
Finger Play
1 This pig went to the barn;
2 This ate all the corn;
3 This said he would tell;
4 This said he wasn't well;
5 This went week, week, week, over the door sill.
Notes
Mother Goose's Book of Nursery Rhymes and Songs in "Everyman's Library" (1919, New York), has the first two lines as:
1 This little pig went to the barn;
2 This little pig ate all the corn;
Game Instructions
Associated movements... As you say each line you wiggle one of the child's toes, starting with one toe and wiggling each toe until you've done all five. On the last line you also tickle the child up the leg - as if the "piggy" is running home.
